Hey Friend, Have you ever put your heart and soul into something and then lost it all? A few days ago I asked Claude Code to help me set up the onboarding process for Task Alignment, the productivity app that I’ve poured hundreds of hours into. While showing Abbey a new function, the page suddenly stopped working. No biggie, just undo. Still not working. No biggie, jUsT aSk cLaUde cOdE tO FiX iT. 🤡 “Aw, Snap! Something went wrong with displaying this webpage.” SERIOUSLY?!? I’m literally on the verge of beta testing… Claude told me I needed to take a break so I went to bed hoping I wouldn’t grind my teeth. The next morning I messaged a Clurb member like, “HALP.” Moments later we were on a zoom call trying to diagnose my dead app. Over an hour had passed and we had tried a bunch of things that I can’t even explain. Nothing was working. “Alright this is the last thing we can try before we actually start losing our shit.” With her final instructions on where to beep and boop, we refreshed the page and waited with clenched butt cheeks. AWWWW SNAP!!! WE’RE BACK!!!! Karla had successfully resuscitated Task Alignment from the chokeholds of Claude’s convoluted code!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO! I would not shut up to Abbey about this when she got home from work. Because this moment was a perfect example of how collaborating with humans will always be needed – No matter how many times CheeksGPT gets an upgrade. AI has lowered the barrier for getting started on anything. And without it, building Task Alignment wouldn’t be possible. But you know what else made Task Alignment possible? 👉🏾When Julia told me she needed something to revisit the tools in the Power Moves Workshop. 👉🏾 When Kevin showed me how to support storage for the app. 👉🏾 When Kennedy said he wanted the first version of the app. 👉🏾 When Jody suggested adding in the Good Enough Matrix. 👉🏾 When Sarah, Kiki, Jasmine, Kasey, Priscilla, Katie, and Tayla all shared their feedback, suggestions, and ideas for the app. And of course, 👉🏾 WHEN KARLA REVIVED THE APP. Even though AI enabled my audacity to bring this idea to life, sharing Task Alignment is pointless without you. And even with all the extra jibber jabber in the world, your thoughts, actions, and words can contribute to building something amazing for yourself and others. We’ve been needing an app like this for way too long. And you have an opportunity to nurture this baby. All you have to do is click the button below to get in line for beta testing. |
