If you (literally) get sick n' tired from being in adulting-limbo-land and wanna have fun in or outside the work you do...
“Waiting isn’t failure. I'm learning to be okay with not knowing what’s next or how to get there.”
“I am feeling much less overwhelmed despite no change in my actual circumstances.”
“I'm surprised at how much my life has changed since the very first call!”
But couching drains you even more.
You log out of work, but your brain doesn't. You can't even chill on the couch in peace because you're thinking about all the things you should be doing but have the energy of a raw-dogged potato.
You've climbed the ladder, but title changes feel like invitations for even more stuff to be dumped on you. You know this isn't sustainable, but you knew that before the "promotion". You plersist because there's a chance things might get better, even though there's no evidence of that in sight.
You've quietly quit your job. Your boss doesn't know, but your body does. You're wrecked and your weekends morphed into weekday revenge marathons that make Mondays feel even worse. It feels shitty masking around your coworkers, but feeling trapped feels shittier.
It's over. You're mostly relieved, but it feels like you're pretending to be free. Your anxiety is building because you kinda have an idea of what's next but no idea how it's gonna work out. It's only a matter of time before the overwhelm takes over again but there's no way in hell you're going back.
