This YouTube comment got me HEATED ๐Ÿคฌ

Sent to the clurb ยท Dec 2024

Hi friend,

I recently I put out a video titled "99% of people use calendars wrong (how to fix it)" - in fact, that video is probably how you and over 2000 new Clurb Members ended up here. Welcome! happy to have you.

The thing about this video is that it used a title that I would normally never use.

Why?

Because I knew there would be trolls lurking in a dark, arm pit of a room ready to comment stuff like:

Ok. Yes. It was definitely petty of me to leave that reply. I think I was just annoyed that I wasted time trying to decipher this - so I just decided to answer the first question as honestly as I knew how.

Now, this isn't to put this person on blast - but this is the tip of the reality that I'm going to have to face - I can't make everyone happy.

In order to have a real impact on other people, we need to be authentic. The only way to be authentic is to express your real thoughts, opinions, and ideas.

If my ideas don't challenge anyone, they're not worth sharing.

Also, trying to please the masses does nothing but contribute to our inner perfectionist that can't send a simple work email without reading it over 27 times.

It also just drains the hell out of meaningful productivity. It's nearly impossible to get sh*t done quickly when we're constantly roadblocking ourselves with decisions that do nothing but delay the process and destroy creativity.

โ€‹Done is meaningful. Finished is impactful.

All this to say, I'm going to get more real with my content. I don't mean to offend anyone - but you, other Clurb Members, and my own mother might disagree with what I have to say.

In order for us to take bigger, bolder risks with less emotional investment, we have to make decisions that terrify us. This isn't the same thing as being reckless, this is what pushes our boundaries.

If I want to do something impactful with my life I need to get used to failing big and failing fast.

Ignore the noise - both inside and outside of yourself. You'll change so much faster than you thought possible.

Here's today's prompt:

P.S. After I replied to that comment they replied again but I think they deleted it? they basically said, "fuck you, you dishonest person." People have bad days, but don't let it ruin yours.
