Hi Friend, Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time in this imaginary (but also very real) place that my friend and I call the "Pain Cave.” It’s where I go to face the stuff I’ve been resisting—like reading legalese, working through admin for The Well-Being Program, or doing anything else that sounds less appealing than eating boiled hot dogs. But here’s what happens: the more time I spend in there, the more I’ve realized that this space isn’t as gawd awful as I made it out to be. Here's how it gets bad tho... Some people are stuck right outside the Pain Cave, imagining what's inside. It sounds daunting, scary, wet, cold–you know, all the things that are the opposite of watching Gilmore Girls while sipping chamomile tea before bed time. So they never go in. Then there's people that are already in the Pain Cave, but they aren't actually doing anything in there. Just shivering, doing miserable pointless cave things, instead of doing what they need to do to feel like they can step out and see the light of day again.... Then of course there's people who walk in and come out looking like the definition of a tequila hangover–and now they're terrified of going back in. Yikes. The real magic happens when you choose to step into the Pain Cave with purpose. Go in, do the your thing, get out, bask in your transformation, and repeat. And now that I know I'm not going in alone it just makes it even more inviting. Look! I even decorated it 👇🏾 Anyways, the Pain Cave isn't going anywhere–but you can determine if or when you go in, what you do in there, how long you'll be in there, and how often you'll go back. It's alllll up to you, but you don't have to go in alone. If you’ve been waiting for the “right moment” to make a real move toward your goals, this is your sign. Group coaching spots for the Well-Being Program are filling up, and applications close tomorrow, Jan 29th. Here’s the link to claim your spot: ✌🏾TTYL!✌🏾 Simie P.S. What's funny is that I never would've created the mental space to draw this sticker (and do other cool sh*t) if I didn't do my Pain Cave duties. Pretty pumped about it. P.P.S. For the record I will always choose to go in there before eating boiled hot dogs. |
