Getting Moon-ed

Sent to the clurb · Jun 2026

Heyooo,

There's a bunch of astrological jazz happening in the sky right now in the same week we're hitting the halfway point of the year.

It might be tempting to set more goals or have a sense of urgency to do every project before the end of the year.

But today the full moon in Capricorn and Mercury in retrograde are like, "Nah, fam. You gotta reflect on what you've already done, let sh*t go, and revisit the stuff already going on in your life."

(Yes, I totally imagine that space bodies talk to me like that)

I'm one of those people that can spiral into using logic and evidence to reason non stop until it backfires into analysis paralysis and indecision.

Surprisingly, something that's helped me unclench my butt cheeks and stop obsessing over outcomes was reflecting on what the planets and the moon are trying to be overt about.

It's helped me feel good about relying on my gut and trusting the process even when it doesn't make sense to anybody – not even myself.

The shock when I told people I was going back in the clinic...

The cringey politeness when I shared I was building an app...

The ceiling high eyebrows of cafe strangers watching me plan to get on a plane with 2 hours notice to see a volcano erupting... (gotta tell you about this in another email).

But aside from the unclenching thing...

Space
has given me a lot to think about.

Both creating space to think about what I'm doing and what's literally happening in space.

Getting moon-ed a couple times a month has been awesome, so I figured out how to put this in Task Alignment:

Even if you're not into astrology, it's pretty cool and useful to use the sky as source for "random" journal prompts and reflections that we'd otherwise not think about.

It gets me to zoom out and see things from another perspective. Even if it's not something I necessarily wanted to be confronted with, it's always something that makes me go, "Damn it. Fine." but then I'm happier for it.

Let me know if this is something you already do or if you try this out.

✌🏾TTYL!✌🏾

Simie

P.S. Task Alignment is gonna be opening up 25 crew member seats for launch again on Sunday, July 5th. Launch emails coming later this week.
