Hi friend, With Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up I want you to ask yourself these questions - They've saved me a ton of time, money, and energy. Practically everything I own or pay for does the whole Marie Kondo "sparks joy" thing because of this. The most recent big purchase I made was my CrossFit membership so I'm going to use this as an example - it was $1600 for the year - f*cking OUCH. But then I asked myself these questions: Will this save me time? energy? money? - triple yes, because I don't have to plan workouts, the they're limited to an hour, this forces me to stick to a better eating routine, and it's cheaper than paying month to month for a year. Will this reduce the amount of decisions I have to make? yep. again, I never have to think about where I'm going, what I'm doing, and to an extent - when I'm doing it. I just show up and do what I'm told. Hell, I can't even decide if I want to renew every month cuz I committed to a year. Mental headspace immediately unlocked. Will this continue to make me happy for at least 6 months or more after I purchase it? Maybe not while I'm looking at the workout, but I get to do something with Abbey regularly and I ALWAYS feel better and more creative afterwards. So yes. Is this a distraction? or something I think will "fix" my problems? It could be if I go all of the time and neglect my responsibilities. I also know that buying this isn't going to make me fit. Going will. So I can't mix that up. But the potential return on investment is limitless if I'm taking care of my body. Will this purchase make everything else in life easier? Yes. Cuz all of the above. A whole year of less stuff to think about for a year? come on... Am I really reaching to justify this purchase? Nope. I don't need to reach beyond the reasons given. And those reasons are enough to make this a no brainer. Sure, I still purchase things that I regret but at the very least I make sure to treat it like I've just paid for a lesson. And to get the most out of that lesson, I wanna reduce any repeats. If the purchase is a reeeeally big one that causes your body to physically react when going to make the purchase, answer these questions in your journal or listen to yourself explain it to someone else. You'll know what to do. ✌🏾TTYL!✌🏾 Simie P.S. What are you debating on buying with all the holiday sales coming up? Hit reply and share your answers 👀 P.P.S. This group of questions even works on small purchases that quickly add up. So if you're someone that is more likely to buy just because something is cheap this is definitely for you too! P.P.P.S. Yes, I'm also encouraging you to ask yourself these questions before purchasing my Power Moves Workshop lol. |
