Duuuude check this out, Yesterday morning I received a DM that I read 4 times in a row. I even walked through the crosswalk looking down at my phone, ignoring whether left-turning cars were paying attention. I never do that. I was f*cking elated. Happiness, excitement, hope, and a strong signal that I made the right choice. In order for this message to mean anything to you, I gotta take you back to when I did my first tarot reading a year ago. In that reading, my friend Chloé had said, "Whatever you're thinking of doing, you just need to make up your mind and go for it because it's gonna work out for you." Sounds generic, but in the context of that reading everything was screaming at me to commit to building my app, Task Alignment, for real. I knew I was gonna have to put all my eggs in one basket and commit to the freakin' bit. That reading was received on June 22nd, 2025. Over the next 364 days, I committed my life to building Task Alignment. This is not an over exaggeration. I became obsessive about building an app that would help people from the inside out. Something that would actually guide you into feeling good about the choices you make without having to become a corporate project manager for your own life. It was a healthy obsession though. I felt alive and excited about every version, change, iteration, word, button placement, and feature – because I could feel it working inside me. Is this what the woo crews mean by "alignment"? Yes. But there were definitely days where I'd look at everything I'd built and be like, "Is this even good????" "Did I just spend almost a year wasting my time?" "Is this the shiniest distraction of my entire life?" And things got BRUTAL when I'd onboard people into the app for the first time for feedback. Watching them click around in confusion, looking at their unimpressed expressions, and completely skipping over my favorite features. It's what I would imagine it would feel like if someone walked up to your baby and said, "Eh. Kinda cute I guess." It may not have been obvious to those people, but part of the reason why this sucked so bad was because Task Alignment is a reflection of me. So everything felt personal. It didn't feel like I was being attacked, but I was forced to be honest in seeing the parts of the app (and myself) that still needed work. But every now and then I'd get on a call with someone and watch their cursor move exactly in the way that I wanted, or even better, they'd experience relief through something that I spent a hundred hours refining. "HALLELUJAH. I neeeeded that win to help me keep going." My entire journal was filled with nothing but notes, ideas, and more problems that needed solutions in Task Alignment. And the more I worked on the app, the more I realized what I wanted it to do for me – get me to always start from the inside out. No more bloated systems, life hacks, habits trackers, courses, or self-help books. Just me, looking at my tasks and starting with how I was feeling before reaching for some other solution outside of me. Like what's really causing overwhelm? What's really causing procrastination? What's really scattering my focus? I still struggle with these questions, but the price I pay to answer them is simply just opening up Task Alignment. And yesterday I opened it up to this: This DM from Talon in Task Alignment is a huge milestone for me. “first of all, lifetime subscription wow! in the age of enshittification!” “i really love the prompts for each quadrant!! it has already helped me face some hard questions.” “im going to use Task Alignment as my sunday plan-ahead routine!” Every line in here made me go "YES! That was the point! This is the process I wanted people to experience! WoOoOO" To me, this is a signal that everything I've poured into this app is connecting with people – especially the bit about the prompts and the Good Enough Quadrant. 🤸🏾♀️ 🤸🏾♀️ 🤸🏾♀️ 🤸🏾♀️ 🤸🏾♀️ 🤸🏾♀️ Task Alignment launched on June 21st 2026, Summer Solstice, 364 days after a tarot reading got me to look inside and take action on what I really wanted to do and what was holding me back. That timing was unintended, but I'm pretty damn sure that's some "alignment" sh*t right there. I took a chance on everything to try to bring an experience like this through a medium that anyone can access. And right now you can literally have lifetime access to Task Alignment for 50% off until Aug 12th, Wednesday. Use the code STILL4444 Excited to see where else this goes, ✌🏾TTYL!✌🏾 Simie P.S. Lifetime access to Task Alignment isn't going to be forever, but I promise I won't let you or my ultra cute and nurtured baby be a victim of enshitification lol
