Listen to this email here (but not on speaker lol) When I’m walking Tobi 🐕 and he goes up to another neighborhood dog and sniffs their private bits… or vice versa. But that’s not the most awkward part… It’s the part when the other owner and I don’t know each other’s names but know the dogs names and we’re just standing there smiling weirdly about this natural greeting and wondering if it should… stop? Like seriously, how long do we let this go on for? 🙃 And are we really strangers if we’re letting our dogs kanoodle outside of the neighborhood bank in broad daylight for what seems like an eternity? We can’t even make eye contact because it’s so uncomfortable but neither one of us wants to be rude and yank our dog away first. Bottom line, it’s confusing and I don’t want to experience this anymore than I have to. Like, I’m fine with the sniffing and all that, but I just can’t act like I’m enjoying watching my dogs butthole getting sniffed even if this is the dog equivalent to kneeling before royalty or bowing down when someone enters the room. In other words I don’t like repeating awkward run ins with people I’ve crossed paths with before. So…. Remember when I sent out an email a while back with the subject line, “the welcome email you never got?” Welp. The welcome email was supposed to be automated so that new Clurb Members have an appropriate non-awkward greeting. But I forgot to hit the button that activates that automation. Which means… this is now me trying to make an awkward moment less painful by linking the aforementioned email here to make sure that everyone has been properly greeted. Anyways, I’ve said the word awkward enough and hope you can find humor in this. Also, don’t forget that I’m working on something pretty sweet that’s gonna help people get their sh*t together.
