Hi Friend! Listen to me spit bars here (jk i'm just reading the email but maybe one day) I'd go to the gym like once every 2 months and admittedly stare at people that I felt like I could help instead of just focusing on improving my lousy effort. I'd watch ultra buff trainers walk in and out of the gym with their clients and think, "yikes" when they'd be heeving n' hooing on reps 8, 9, and 10. I'd even run into a personal trainer who's little kid would pet Tobi every single time they saw him. In truth, I secretly wanted to be the sweaty borderline dying individual being supervised by this badass trainer... but I always thought, "I'm a physical therapist, I already know what I need to do so why should I pay someone else? I'm a dOcToR" Pride contributed to a lot of my misery. I knew I needed help and I knew what I wanted, but I let my pride delay my goals by years. I'm not in anyway suggesting that you're a prideful person, but sometimes we just don't know what's getting in the way of asking for help that we know we want and need. It would've been helpful if someone had called me out on my bullsh*t so i'm passing along the potential favor.
